How to prepare for online mixing

Performances and sounds

Elements of production can not be altered after mixing. So if there is an element you are unhappy with we recommend fixing this before mixing. If you are unsure, feel free to get in touch with us to help.

Edits, Timing and Tuning

These are considered productional and should be completed prior to mixing. If you need assistance we perform these tasks for you for additional charges. Please be aware this may effect your delivery ETA.

Print virtual instruments and midi files.

Virtual instruments and sounds will need to be committed and printed so they can be brought into our session.

Dry or wet?

Please provide your multi tracks without reverb and effects. If you feel that an applied effects/filters/sweeps/sidechain is integral to the song, then please print both wet and dry versions clearly labeled.

What formats do you accept?

WAV or AIFF files with sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 & 96kHz.
Be sure to bounce out each stem from the start of your session so they align perfectly when brought into our session. We recommend you import your newly exported stems into a new project/session to confirm everything aligns and works as intended.

Providing notes & References

Feel free to write up a few notes for your engineer to help them understand your vision. Providing 1 to 2 reference tracks can also be a useful tool to help illustrate this.

Conditions

Songs over 10 minutes in length and or multi tracks provided with 80+ files are subject to additional charges as this will take more time to work with.
